Artist Statement:
"I've always been drawn to storytelling. Each deeply lined and pocked human face, every home sagging with loneliness and decay, every naked tree with its winter bones shrouded in snow has a deeply meaningful story that it offers to anyone who cares to pause and listen. My artistic process seeks to balance technique with inventiveness and curiosity. Photography offers the scaffolding to seek out the exquisite dramas disguised as ordinary life. In my mixed-media work, I find I am free to transcend the limitations of reality. I join collected photographs, vintage papers, handmade papers, mono prints, wax, acrylics, and other found materials together to create absurd, beautiful, and elusive worlds."
